Ms. Wang doesn't just help students with homework — she teaches the content. Deeply familiar with the curriculum at Houston's most rigorous schools, she builds genuine understanding from the ground up, whether a student needs to catch up, stay on track, or push ahead.

She specializes in sciences from upper elementary through high school life sciences (biology, environmental science), with particular expertise in middle school science. Math instruction is delivered through the Singapore Math method — a conceptual, visual approach that builds real number sense and problem-solving ability rather than rote memorization. Especially effective for students who haven't clicked with traditional methods.

Homeschool Education Support

More than tutoring support — Ms. Wang can serve as a student's primary educator across subjects, delivering structured, rigorous instruction tailored to the child's learning profile, pace, and goals. She partners with families to select curriculum, build academic plans, and provide the kind of consistent, expert instruction that gives homeschool students a genuine academic foundation.

Support can include curriculum selection, lesson planning and pacing, interdisciplinary instruction, executive function guidance, and ongoing parent collaboration.

STEM Enrichment & Science Labs

Hands-on, inquiry-driven science experiences designed to make learning stick. Ms. Wang brings the laboratory to life — through guided dissections, engineering challenges, project-based investigations, and interactive experiments that develop real scientific thinking, not just test preparation.

Available year-round in private and small-group formats, for students of all ages. Fun for parents too.

Executive Functioning & Academic Coaching

Academic success requires more than knowing the material. Ms. Wang helps students build the organizational systems, study strategies, and self-management habits that translate into lasting independence — not just better grades.

Most effective as part of a long-term engagement paired with instruction, coaching can also be structured to include parents who want to reinforce skills at home.

School Placement & Educational Consulting

Navigating Houston's academic landscape — from HISD magnet programs to private, and university-model schools — can be overwhelming. Ms. Wang offers focused, one-on-one consultations to help K-12 families evaluate their options and plan a confident, well-informed transition into the right school environment.

Available as a standalone session, no ongoing commitment required.

Rates

Private tutoring starts at $150/hour. Package rates are available for recurring sessions and multi-subject support.
